This one-day training is an introduction to CE and UKCA marking, building the awareness of product compliance for machinery, pressure equipment and low voltage electrical equipment, and including the additional requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and explosive environments. The course provides an overview of the use of harmonised and designated standards, the essential health and safety requirements, and the conformity marking process.
After attending the course, delegates should be able to understand when CE and UKCA marking are required, the scope and purpose of the regulations, important concepts for conformity marking as well as the obligations on the manufacturer.
This training is aimed at equipment manufacturers, importers of equipment, equipment designers, purchasers, mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, machine and control system designers, safety and process engineers.
The course consists of presentations, exercises and worked examples, providing interactive participation and question-and-answer sessions. Participants receive a certificate of attendance if they attend the full course and complete the exercises.
