Control systems safety to 13849

Control systems safety to 13849

The Course

This three-day training covers the control system safety standards:

• EN 13849-1: Safety of machinery – Safety-related parts of control systems – Part 1: General principles for design.

• EN 13849-2: Safety of machinery – Safety-related parts of control systems – Part 2: Validation

Why should you attend?

This training offers an in-depth approach to EN 13849-1/-2 compliance. During the training you will learn how to apply the standards, how to calculate and verify safety parameters and you will be given instruction on validation techniques.

This training will enable you to perform your own EN 13849 analyses.

Who is it for?

This training is aimed at project managers, control system designers, electrical engineers, safety engineers, process engineers and anyone who needs to apply the EN 13849 standards.

How is it delivered?

The course consists of presentations, exercises and worked examples, providing interactive participation and question-and-answer sessions. Participants receive a certificate of attendance if they attend the full course and complete the exercises.
