Introduction to EMC compliance

Introduction to EMC compliance

The Course

This one-day training covers the application of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (and the UK Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations) to machinery.

Why should you attend?

All manufacturers of electrical equipment have an obligation to ensure that it is electromagnetically compatible with other equipment with which it is likely to have to co-exist. This training offers an overview of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive and an explanation of the issues that affect compatibility.

The training covers the requirements of the Directive and how to comply with them and gives examples of the good engineering practice that should be used. This course will help you to apply the EU Directive and the UK Regulations effectively.

Who is it for?

This training is aimed at importers of machinery, machinery designers, purchasers, electrical engineers, control engineers, project managers, machine- and control system designers, safety, or process engineers.

How is it delivered?

The course consists of presentations, exercises and worked examples, providing interactive participation and question-and-answer sessions. Participants receive a certificate of attendance if they attend the full course and complete the exercises.
