This two-day training covers compliance of equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (including ATEX, DSEAR and IECEx).
This course goes beyond basic regulatory structure and assists delegates with the main complexities that can arise when dealing with methods of protection for electrical and non-electrical equipment. This will include the use of official Guidelines, industry Codes of Practice, and IECEx documentation, such that delegates will know how to find information to answer practical implementation questions. The scope of the course includes safe use of equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres, including the main Area Classification (commonly known as zoning) standards zoning, equipment selection exercises, plus installation and maintenance, introducing the recommended documentation that gives evidence that they are completed appropriately.
Machine manufacturers, facilities managers, engineering managers, production managers, safety managers, process engineers, quality engineers, designers, production team leaders and anyone else who is responsible for managing, specifying, and purchasing equipment or using equipment covered by ATEX and DSEAR regulations.
The course consists of presentations, exercises and worked examples, providing interactive participation and question-and-answer sessions. Participants receive a certificate of attendance if they attend the full course and complete the exercises.
