amtri veritas offers compliance assessments of your machinery to allow you to sign Declarations of Conformity with confidence.
Compliance assessments typically include both a review of the technical file an on-site inspection of the product against the applicable technical requirements of the legislation and standards. Following the evaluation, amtri veritas will produce a compliance report describing the work undertaken and providing details non-conformances that have been identified.
This report also provides the mechanism for resolution of these non-conformances, allowing the customer to respond to each non-conformance so that the final report provides full evidence of compliance with the applicable requirements and can be included in your technical file.
The CE and UKCA marking framework can be difficult to navigate for even the most straightforward products, especially when placing a product on the market for the first time. When considering complex products or installations within the scope of multiple directives and regulations, this process becomes even more difficult to do effectively.
As a business whose everyday work is compliance, amtri veritas is ideally placed to advise manufacturers on the applicability of the legislation, recommend applicable standards, and help them to identify where third-party certification may be required. The strategy document can also identify the necessary contents of the technical file and any mandatory testing at an early stage, so that this does not result in a delay to completion.
An amtri veritas compliance strategy provides a roadmap through the product conformity landscape, enabling the manufacturer to focus on the proof of compliance, with the confidence that this will satisfy the requirements of the law.
CE and UKCA marking legislation places some very specific requirements on technical documentation that must be produced by the manufacturer to demonstrate compliance. Some of this documentation is specific to the requirements of the legislation and so may not be familiar to the manufacturer.
amtri veritas has extensive experience in the production of a wide range of compliance documentation, including:
amtri veritas can also collate the technical file into an established structure for robust and easy reference.
amtri veritas offers Voluntary Examination of products that fall outside of Machinery Directive Annex IV, closely mirroring the Type Examination process. We have delivered voluntary examinations both for products that are not aligned to any Annex IV category, and those which are similar to products which may be subject to Type Examination but that fall outside of the strict Annex IV definition (e.g. low height lifting platforms).
On completion of the examination and resolution of any identified non-conformances, amtri veritas issues a Certificate of Conformity. Whilst this does not hold the same legal status as a Type Examination certificate, it may be included in the manufacturer’s technical file as evidence supporting their self-declaration and can form a valuable deliverable for commercial contracts.
